Meet Juan Whiting
Fourth-Generation Regenerative Farmer and Funding Strategist
Juan Whiting is a fourth-generation regenerative farmer and agricultural entrepreneur with a passion for helping organizations turn great ideas into lasting impact. His experience leading agricultural operations and grant-funded initiatives has given him a practical understanding of how strategic funding, strong partnerships, and thoughtful planning can strengthen communities and food systems.
From managing agricultural projects to working with organizations pursuing growth and innovation, Juan has seen firsthand how access to the right resources can transform a vision into reality. That experience led him to establish Stray Acres Consulting, where he helps organizations identify opportunities, secure funding, and build sustainable pathways for growth.
Who We Serve
Stray Acres Consulting works with agricultural organizations, nonprofits, rural initiatives, educational institutions, cooperatives, tribal organizations, and mission-driven businesses seeking funding, partnership development, and long-term growth strategies.
Whether supporting a small community garden, a regional food system initiative, a research institution, or a large-scale agricultural operation, our goal is the same: helping good projects find the resources they need to succeed.
Our Mission
We believe strong communities are built through strong food systems, responsible stewardship, and strategic investment. Our mission is to help organizations secure the resources and partnerships needed to create lasting impact.
By combining practical agricultural experience with funding strategy, grant development, and partnership building, we help our clients move from ideas to action and from opportunity to measurable results.
